About Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) / IRA Rollover
Make a Difference Today — and Save on Taxes
What It Is
If you’re 70½ or older, you can make a lasting impact in your community while saving on taxes by supporting Cypress Assistance Ministries (CAM) through your IRA charitable rollover, also known as a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD).
This special giving option allows you to donate up to $100,000 per year directly from your IRA to a qualified charity like CAM — without paying income taxes on the transfer. Whether you give a little or a lot, your gift provides food, financial assistance, clothing, education, and hope to local families in crisis.
By giving through your IRA, you can:
-
Reduce your taxable income while helping others.
-
Satisfy all or part of your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) once you turn 72.
-
Lower your annual income level, which can reduce Medicare premiums and taxable Social Security income.
-
See your impact now, instead of waiting to give later.
Even if you’re under 70½, you can still designate CAM as a beneficiary of your IRA — ensuring that your legacy continues to support those in need for years to come.
