Cypress Assistance Ministries Warehouse Supervisor
ACCOUNTABILITY:
This position reports to the Director of Angels’ Attic
OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION:
This position is responsible for the overall management of the product flow from Donation Center to Angels’ Attic to ensure CAM’s resale store(s) are stocked with sufficient merchandise. This position manages CAM’s Community Service program, contracted with Harris County.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Effective management of the operation of the Donation Center, including the acceptance of donated items, the successful processing of donations, and the placement of merchandise into Angels’ Attic for sale.
- Responsible for the training, scheduling, and maintenance of Donation Center paid & volunteer staff.
- Management of all CAM recycling, including the recycling of metal.
- Responsible for the identification of product value & viability for sale in Angels’ Attic or through third party vendors.
- Responsible for the management of merchandise to placed and/or removed from storage unit(s) as needed for store sales.
- Collaborating with the Director of Facilities & Logistics, responsible for the scheduling of donation pick-ups/deliveries.
- Responsible for effective, positive communication with all donors.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Reliable
- Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand on ladder, lift items over head, move canvas bins and rolling racks.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work well with internal and external partners, clients, and donors.
- Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus but not required.
Weekly hours needed for this position: 36 to 40. Must be available to work on Saturdays.
